Deviation Actions
As those of you who follow my work and journals know, I am a young writer just starting to break into the industry and establish myself. I have a couple forthcoming publications for 2012 and have talked to several other publishers about the possibility of more. Unfortunately, though, I have been informed that publishers tend not to be too happy with new writers having material online that they're attempting to get people to pay to read in print, so it has been suggested that I delete my Deviant Art account. I do not wish to do this, since I really love the community here and I've put a lot of hard work into maintaining my account and giving and soliciting feedback. Therefore, I have decided to take advantage of Deviant Art's Deviation Storage Tool and archive my work so that it is no longer available for public viewing.
I will not be deactivating my account at any point and I sincerely hope that this will be a temporary measure only and that in the months or years to come, I will have established myself in the literary field enough that publishers will not care if my work is also available online. Until then, I will continue following the work of my favorite, purely fantastic artists here and I will check my inbox daily, so I can still be reached here if anyone wants to talk or needs advice.
I love you all and can never tell you enough how much you and your art and your feedback mean to me. This community is being mentioned in a dedication page the moment someone publishes a collection or chapbook of my work. I wish you all the best in your artistic endeavors and hope that you'll wish me luck in mine.

Need to Place that Novel?
Hey everyone! I'm working at a publishing house these days. One that focuses on genre fiction, particularly the surreal, speculative, fantastic, etc. It's called the Metaphysical Circus Press and I'm one of the novel editors. So, seeing as how I know there's a fantastic literary community here, I figured I'd leave a link for you guys to take advantage of if you're looking for a press that provides free, continuous marketing and a larger author percentage of profits than just about anywhere. I hope to see some of you there soon!

Miss Me?
Hello, all!
Long time, no see, and I've greatly missed everyone in the DA community. As anyone who would be getting notified about this journal knows, I archived all of my writing on this site when I started actually getting published, as most publishers aren't terrifically thrilled when their writers' work is available for free online through a third party.
When I archived my work, I told you all that I would let you know when you could read my writing in other places. I've finally gotten to the point where I have enough out there that I'm proud to call my own that I have come back to tell you about it and post some links to where you can

Someone recently sent me a quotation from George R. R. Martin:
"Fantasy is silver and scarlet, indigo and azure, obsidian veined with gold and lapis lazuli. Reality is plywood and plastic, done up in mud brown and olive drab. Fantasy tastes of habaneros and honey, cinnamon and cloves, rare red meat and wines as sweet as summer. Reality is beans and tofu, and ashes at the end. Reality is the strip malls of Burbank, the smokestacks of Cleveland, a parking garage in Newark. Fantasy is the towers of Minas Tirith, the ancient stones of Gormenghast, the halls of Camelot. Fantasy flies on the wings of Icarus, reality on Southwest Airlines. Why do o

I know I haven't been up here/talked to you in forever, and this still makes me sad!
It's okay though. I have faith that you'll do wonderfully, truly wonderfully though.
Continue to be awesome.
